Came in for an eye glasses prescription and check up as zocdoc listed it as covered on my insurance, insurance stated I get a free checkup each year. They charged me $75 just to get the prescription and said my insurance doesn't cover it. Told me I have some dry eye thing and had to come back. First visit took over 2hrs from arrival on time. recently visited Dr. Sarah Pinkhasov at New York Laser Vision, and I can genuinely say she changed my life. I am absolutely so thankful I found such a great optometrist in Dr. Haung. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, empathetic and listens to every thing. Her detail is absolutely amazing. I just wish all doctors were like her. I never felt brushed off or rushed. I have some serious eye issues going on and she wants me to see a specialist in that department and unfortunately, I'm getting brushed off by the other department. Not her fault at all. I absolutely LOVE HER!
The receptionist were very kind and attentive. Dr.Pinkhasov was nice, and helped me navigate as a first time eye contact user and prescriptions even when she was a bit tired from immediately back to back appointments. She answered my questions with and gave great advice for when I have to order my frames. They also have a nice selection of Teas, and coffee while waiting.
Really not a fan of this place. Went to get a prescription for glasses. They made me come back for no reason, claimed I had dry eyes, and tried to push their products on me for purchase. Just feels like you’re not getting the best medical treatment/ cannot trust what they say when they’re pedaling.
