Hospitals and surgery are always stressful and never fun. However the North Carolina Specialty Hospital's level of customer care is amazing. I could write far too many words here but i won't. I'll just say that every single employee that I had the pleasure of interacting with (from check-in to check-out) obviously love their job and and have a genuine interest in making sure your time there goes well. Unlike any other hospital I've ever been to, they are Special and amazing at what they do.

My experience here after knee surgery was outstanding! The staff was what I call Chick-fil-A nurses!!! Very polite, helpful and always had a positive attitude. They made me feel beyond comfortable. Oh and the food is very good! Highly recommended!

I recently had surgery at North Carolina Specialty Hospital, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They made what could have been a stressful situation so much more manageable—and even pleasant. The medical staff was good and overall I had a decent experience with my procedure. My surgeon was from another practice, however, and she was excellent. But, NC Specialty functions very much as a private, for-profit center. I felt pretty rushed out the door after my surgery, and then they charged me (up-front, before my procedure) multi-thousands of dollars in excess of my potion of my cost of my care. My husband had surgery there and had to stay over one night. There isn't anything negative I could say! All the staff, including doctors, nurses, cafeteria staff and front desk personnel were very welcoming and so kind and caring. We would not hesitate to use this facility again if needed.
