Overall the experience was pretty good, but we had to track down the evaluation report after hearing nothing for over a month but getting the remainder of the bill before even getting the report. I had to call and message them to actually get the report. It's too bad because the evaluation experience with Dr. Brown was very good.
Two of our children have undergone full evaluations at this facility. The process was seamless, and we received results promptly. The doctors and technicians created a welcoming and comfortable environment for our children during testing. In fact, one of them even asked, 'When can we go back?' The staff went above and beyond by assisting us in finding proper advocacy for our needs. All out-of-pocket fees were discussed beforehand, eliminating any billing surprises. The care I received from Northwest Suburban Psychology was exceptional and I would most definitely recommend Dr. Tuchscherer and her team. They listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatment that has lead to positive results for my son. The entire team at the practice displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit.
Without hesitation, I would recommend this fantastic group to all. The expertise, care, kindness, and confidentiality that is put forth to assist is beyond standard, it's exceptional. Specifically, we were able to work with Dr. H and found that she takes the time to truly listen and works dilligently to help meet your needs and wants in assisting in the best way possible.
I was told that it is not possible for me to be autistic because I am “very empathetic” and have a wide vocabulary. This is not only generalizing autistic people, but is also blatantly untrue and a quick google search will provide reliable sources that disprove these statements. Not every autistic person is the same, and it was basically implied that all autistic people have limited vocabularies/intellectual abilities and have little to no empathy.
