I had the pleasure of living at Oak Park Apartments from Feb 2024 to Feb 2025, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. We lived in a corner unit on the third floor, a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, and the layout was perfect for us. We had a large dog, and the complex is incredibly dog-friendly. Pretty nice property, they got some pretty nice people on staff. Ermer is really great, he always does a great job keeping the grounds clean and is very polite. Adrian works maintenance here and he really came through today when he helped us with an issue we had in our apartment. He was very receptive to our issue and made the time to fix it right away. A++.

*Please Read Before Renting* I recently moved out of the Oak Park Apartments, and I wish I had known a couple of things before moving in. The biggest: upon moving out, building ownership charges you for preparing the apartment for the next resident. Therefore, regardless of how clean you leave the space (I left it perfectly clean), you will see $275 come off your deposit no matter what. There are cockroaches, mold, and paper thin walls. You will be able to hear your neighbors' TVs and conversations through the wall, the floors, and the ceiling. This place is just not worth the price - which they will raise by the maximum legally allowable amount every year. Also zero utilities are included so count on adding a couple hundred bucks to your rent plus fees. Update: Be sure to ask for an itemized list for your security deposit return, they charged me $400 for paint.

I lived there for about a year and a half. The Monrovia area is amazing and Oak Park is a very good apartment complex. We had very few issues with our apartment and the issues we did have the staff fixed everything right away. Rent did go up every year but that was unsurprising because its owners by a large company not like renting a person's back house. The oak park common spaces were always very well maintained. It's a fairly quiet complex which is nice.
