The nurses were very attentive and top-notch in care for my recent stay at Optim Reidsville following knee replacement surgery. This particular night in the hospital is a difficult one with a lot of pain and discomfort. My nighttime nurse was especially helpful and she was very amicable to me. Assured me several times that I was not bothering her and that it is her job to care for me. The CNA’s did their job without any issues and I know I wasn’t the easiest patient with which to deal. I was happy with pre surgery prep. Everyone was cordial and anesthesia went well. It must have because one minute I was awake the next minute I was waking up from the surgery and my husband was there. Then we met back up in the room I was going to stay overnight in. The overnight stay was okay except I was in pain and even though they said let them know and get ahead of the pain they would not administer pain medicine out of a set schedule. In October I had outpatient wrist and elbow surgery. I just had inpatient hip surgery this week and must say that every single person at this facility treated me with the utmost respect, care and kindness. From the lab techs to cna's, nurses, doctors and physical therapists I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. Highly recommend Optim to anyone who needs orthopedic services. Staff was professional and accommodating from start to finish. Team put me at ease and explained everything that was going to happen. 2nd procedure at Optim Surgery Center and they keep getting better, but I’m thankfully out of hips to replace!

If you need a Band-Aid or a Tylenol for a headache this is the hospital for you. But if you have a loved one that is projectile vomiting and having intense diarrhea at the same time along with a high fever do not go here! He was given the equivalent of Dramamine and told to go see his primary care doctor, we are now on the way to Savannah to hopefully get some type of competent health care.
