I would give 0 stars. Please go with Serenity or a different Hospice program. OSF Hospice is an absolute joke which provided no comfort. Ashley, the lady who currently answers the phone, needs to be fired and so do the “leaders”. Ashley dropped the ball on getting help to our home the day we requested. My loved one was air hungry and most likely feeling pain for hours before she wasn’t in distress. Clearly this company hires anyone who can work. That being said, the staff does not care for the patient. They only care about the numbers! They visit your home with a tablet; and that tablet gets more time and care than the patient itself! Home healthcare is not healthcare! The only accurate thing about home healthcare is home! Because OSF DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!!! And! The staff is lazy! They lie and say that they came out to see you but you are just sitting waiting. This is the worst Iam s nurse for 35 years retired had them for 5 mobthes months thier lack of good nurses was so apparent one nurse truly almost cost me my live . There was a few good nurses .their management is very unprofessional I had IV antibiotics and a midline they would not handle on a Saturday that cost me missing days of my antibiotic and I ended vup back in the hospital. The last nurse I had has in my opinion incapable of her job that almost cause me my life I would think before using they as they are run now.
Some of the best,caring ,professional home care nurses anyone could ask for! Especially if they could put up with me!
Our son was bitten by a tick and got the powassan virus he is paralyzed from the neck down and on a ventilator we agreed as a close family we wanted him home with us in our house and there were a few things we were nervous about and his home nurse aron made us feel comfortable with the cares and his love and compassion for our son is above and beyond
