Unprofessional. Appointment was booked two days in advance and I received a call 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment to inform me that they don’t actually take my insurance. I called and scheduled my appointments with an actual person so I’m unsure as to why they scheduled me. OSF is a hot mess and I’m very disappointed. I have a TBI and now I have to wait to receive the care that I need because someone else dropped the ball. They also wouldn’t help me find another specialist.
The wonderful team at this place made a huge difference in my life. Physical Therapists Trisha and Jim have an amazing way of believing in their patients, inspiring them to work hard and leave each appointment feeling encouraged! Patients are treated as individuals, and the therapist speak to patients as real people! (As opposed to some places where therapist only talk to each other and ignore the patient.) I had this appointment like a month in advance. They wait until an hr before my appointment to call to tell me that because my insurance does not include physical therapy, neither will financial assistance so I needed to call financial assistance to get authorization. I called fin. assist. and they told me that as long as I was in network then they absolutely covered it even if my insurance did not.
