Within the first 20 minutes my dad was bathed, bandaged and calm. He had a very nice blue polo shirt on. They provide these polo shirts that not only look sharp, but are cut in the back to make removal easier. Dad was snuggled in with a stunning quilt and a custom made little blanket that we would take home with us after he passed. It took me awhile to be able to write this review . I lost my mom in July when she was transferred here. I loved that we were allowed to be with our mother the whole time she was here. I loved they had private rooms, along with waiting area. However I feel like the staffing could care more show more empathy than they do. I also think the amount of drugs they give them is uncalled for. I love that there is a place for people to go on hospice. However possibly look into people you are hiring. My Dad recently spent 32 days in the Richard Owens Hospice Home. They call it a "Home" for a good reason - everyone there treats you like family. The cleaning staff, the CNAs & nurses and the administrators treated my Dad with kindness, compassion and respect EVERY single time they interacted with him. They also could not have been more helpful and compassionate to our family and friends that were visiting. The Richard Owens Hospice Home staff are ALL very special people. You guys have an outdoor light that turns on at night that can be seen from miles away. It looks like the bat signal shooting straight up into the sky. Not sure why you would need a light like this. Just wanted to let you know

I would like to extend a thanks to the staff at the Richard L. Owens Hospice house for the fine work they did in caring for my father, Greg, in his remaining days. I always felt calm and serene when visiting your facility. And it gave me peace of mind to know my father had such amazing care. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff on behalf of my mother, and our family and friends for the work you've done. My only regret is that I could not give you more than five stars.
