I’m a retired registered nurse. I worked 12 years in the emergency Department in Cook County, Illinois.I give your facility five stars. Firstly, Jason with patient services greeted me kindly and professionally. My Triage nurse was very efficient getting my labs done immediately.the tech who performed my EKG was also very pleasant. Not in any rush to return to this lab at all. I will more than likely drive back to princeton, where there are MORE staff EVERY WHERE in a SMALLER hospital! While there were no issues at all with the lab tech herself, everything prior to that lacked. One of the girls in patient access registration actually gave me a card before we left with a number on it to a lady in ottawa and instructed me to call her stating that the way things were handled with us is NOT hospital procedure or policy at all

The labor and delivery nurses and staff at OSF Peru were absolutely excellent. The provided amazing care and attention to me and my baby and went above and beyond to help me with personal needs whenever they were able and were always friendly and positive during all of our interactions. Maddie, Heather, Julia, Dolly and Bree were part of the nursing staff I had the pleasure of interacting with during my stay. I am very disappointed in Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru, Illinois. My mother was transferred there for surgery on a sore on her behind. On February 11, 2026., from Ottawa, Saint Elizabeth, Medical Center, within 20 minutes of being at the Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru, not even comfortable in her bed yet the doctor that was on duty I won’t say his name here, but I know his name the nurse practitioner that was working. With the reopening there has been a period of adjustment. They are finally getting through it. I appreciate the fact that we have a hospital in Peru. The other option is not good - driving 20 or more miles to get care?!? Thank you OSF for investing in our community!! God Bless You!
