Ever since OSF has taken over the quality of care has depreciated greatly. Communication skills are so poor at this facility. Many times I won't get a call back for days or they don't call back at all. I am considering switching to CGH. Several doctors have left and patient centered care has dwindled to the point of serious concern. I wouldn't be surprised if patients start leaving and getting care at other local hospitals and locums. This has nothing to do with the doctors. Waited an hour to be seen while seven patients left, there was three of us in the waiting room. Finally got a room waited there for an hour before even a nurse came in and the only one that did was the billing lady asking for my insurance. When they did finally see me they tried to take blood and I have been told my whole life I have great veins and they missed and blew three veins first time in my life this has happened. The ER department staff did not care for my mother in law, who had fallen. They left her lying on a gurney in the hallway. They wouldn't let her sit up and didnt take her to the bathroom for the 5 hours she was there. The nurses were rude and ignored her when she said she had to use the bathroom. They made her hold it for 5 hours. Then they sent her home with nothing, saying the X-rays were good. Only to find out she has hairline fractures in multiple places that they someone missed. I went into this hospital about 3 days ago because I am in the process of needing all my teeth pulled, I had been in a lot of pain taking multiple different over the counter pain relievers and trying different remedies at home, I don't even like going to the hospital lead alone taking medication for my pain but I had a flight the next day and needed something because my pain was unmanageable worse then when I gave birth, they ended up putting me on amoxicillin and giving me naproxen which doesn't help my pain I persisted in ... read more

You can change your name but it's still the same.Slower than a turtle trying to swim in a tar pit.I would hate to have a real emergency because you would be dead by the time you get a room.
