I’m only giving two starts because the staff I had interactions with were absolutely wonderful, the organization itself, little to no kind words to say. I recently was in the ER, all of the nurses, techs, and my doctor were wonderful. Now to address the staffing issue that is apparent. I was placed in a room that was only covered by a curtain. Came into the ER for a serve headache not even 48 hours postpartum, nursing staff had me in a room within 30 minutes and dr Monahan came into my room no more than me sitting there for 10 minutes! He addressed all my issues, explained his plan and told he would getting everything taken care of!! He certainly did. I was in the ER for a total of 2 hours before getting admitted to my hospital room! I was hospitalized with bowel infection which was not responding to IV antibiotics, partial bowel obstruction, high risk for bowel perforation. The staff, including kitchen staff, cleaning staff, nursing staff all very kind. But the hospitalist, especially Carol was a nightmare. I experienced much pain and nonstop vomiting. As KSB my billing was always messed up. Never processed thru both of my insurance companies correctly. Couldn't talk to the people who processed my claims to get the information I needed to move forward with my claim. Since it became OSF the billing has only gotten worse. Still not processing both insurance companies. Now they have removed patient advocates and the only people you can talk to when you need help is the supervisor of the department. My parther is T1D and NEEDS his lantis. The Doctor, Katharine, has NOT returned his calls since MONDAY. HE HAS NO LANTIS AND HE NEEDS IT AND THEY SENT IN THE WRONG MEDICATION FOR HIM AND WONT RESPOND TO VOICE MAILS. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO?? JUST LET HIM DIE?!?! Why do the voice mails not get call backs? why can't you call and talk to someone on the phone, that they send you to a voice mail?! What kind of place is this?
