I've come to OSF for different reasons. I have always found the staff, to be very friendly and caring. Recently I was in ER, for a back injury. I was told to make a follow up appointment with a specialist, who is supposed to be in Rockford. WELL HE'S NOT! They want me to go to Peoria IL which is 1 and 1/2 hours away. I think it is ridiculous !
Was admitted at the emergency department at 12/24/23 for breathing issue , the care I've received was top notch , better care then from the franciscan hospital , at my emergency room visit care at 12/24/23 the er nurse & the Dr I don't recall his name , received great care , The primary physician at the clinic ( Dr Estrada o'brien ) provides great care & informative , I feel like I could open up with the primary physician Dr Estrada o'brien each dr visit then my previous primary physician , if anyone looking for a new primar... read more
My adult daughter has a medical condition that causes her extreme lightheadedness. Unfortunately, she was lightheaded and sat her head on the kitchen counter, and when she lifted her head, she hit it on the corner of the upper cabinet. She hit her temple and it sent her into a seizure. She's NEVER had seizures before. Upon arriving at the emergency room, where you could visibly tell that something was wrong, the nurses were great. Terrible experience. I went to the OSF walk-in clinic for UTI symptoms and was seen by Caitlin J. Engels Arteaga, PA. She ordered a urine test and said the results came back normal. She then recommended an X-ray and said she would send a urine culture as well. The next day i was in even more in pain, so I contacted my primary care physician (from another hospital) for help. Don't try to get your disabled children any rehab or OT help from this hospital it is a complete joke they do not take autism seriously they will not help you navigate anything try to avoid any rehabs through this hospital
