Immediately was brought back and vitals taken. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Wait time was to expected as I was stable. The triage game is something I never want to win in, so waiting is fine by me! They were proactive about getting diagnostics started promptly. Results were available quickly and OSF MyChart provided updates regularly. Luckily was only there for 3 hours and it seemed pretty busy! I normally have great things to say about OSF as I have come here for surgeries, to deliver my babies, and emergencies for myself. I never had any issues. My three year old daughter got her finger slammed in a door and broke the very tip of her thumb and needed stitches. OSF ER took an x-ray and wrapped the finger and told me I needed to go to an orthopedic surgeon. I woke up at 4am this morning to do what a 66 year older man does at that time in the morning. The left side of my face was severely swollen. It was shocking and my wife immediately said, “we’re going to the ER and I concurred. We arrived and the Triage nurse got me right in and a nurse (Summer) landed within 3 minutes. Started hooking me up me with the vitals and IV. Doctor Chung rapidly diagnosed my condition as a side effect from my blood pressure medication. Jennifer Lema is the worst doctor I have ever seen. I hope I never have to see her in the er again. Between being treated and released then going to another OSF er the same day and being admitted do to low phosphorus. The being treated and misdiagnosed by her on a different occasion. Told your case isn't an emergency. We only treat emergencies here.
