I received an online check in, so I did this. I arrived and waited in the lobby. 4 times people were called in, I had one Nurse look at me and turned & took her pt back before I could get to her. I was 40 minutes waiting, so I knocked on the door, they said that I had to checkin down the hall. They took me back. I was told that I was put down as a no- show! The Doctor was the helpful one. Dr. Riaz at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri is wonderful. She is very thorough, she listens attentively and asks several questions. She is compassionate, kind and very caring. She makes you feel comfortable. She makes me feel very confident in her ability to take care of me for what I am seeing her for. Definitely recommend her as an endocrinologist for anyone who is looking for one.
I had an appointment on November 17 2025. I drive an hour and a half to finally get some understanding with my Hypo/Hashimotos. I was early and waited. After 20 minutes, a nurse came to get me only to tell "he didn't fit in" and quit. Update, Friday 12-12-25 I had a voice mail, reminding me of my upcoming appointment on Dec 19, 2025. What??? I thought he was no longer practicing at Ozarks Health Care???😡 Trying to figure this all out, I've tried 5 times to call with no answer. Does Dr. Kastro even exist?
I drove 50 miles for a 10-minute appointment with my doctor. She gave me an order for blood tests to be performed at my local doctor's office. When I asked her why we couldn't have done this by telephone or video she said that the hospital could not get paid for either of those and therefore I needed to come in for a personal visit. I feel like I drove a hundred miles round trip to get an order for blood tests and see my local doctor. Not very satisfied with my visit.
This physician show great care and compassion for her patients. She listens attentively and answers all my questions. Her staff is friendly and helpful and made me feel valued.
