The family help desk at msicu was staffed with excellent care and kind people always willing to help . We so appreciate Ms. Annette and Ms. Miracle and your compassionate chaplain Ms . Brenda . We truly say a big thank you for all your kindness while John was there .

The quality of care at Fort Sanders was excellent. I spent 5 days in their ER and Short Stay area. I love that Fort Sanders has a Short Stay, an area of the ER that is exactly what the title states. An individual Room for those waiting on a room in the hospital or those who need an extra few days past the ER visit. The nurses and techs were knowledgeable and professional. I'm used to excellent quality care at John's Hopkins in Baltimore. Fort Sanders did not disappoint.

Let's see I arrived today at 11:45 with possible blood clot in left leg. They did an ekg, bloodwork, X-ray and ultrasound but now I have been sitting here waiting for over an hour to go back or see a doctor. When I got here there were like 7 other in the waiting area. Not sure why so long a wait to get an answer. I have good insurance, no outstanding payment issues but I am a heart patient who recently had cancer surgery at covenant. Yet here I sit 4.5 hours later still waiting. The quality of the help has been ok but not th... read more

We took my 97 yr old Mother-In-Law there yesterday. Horrible chaotic place. Nurses won't do anything until the Dr. keys info into computer. Drs. are too busy to key instructions for nurses into the computer so patient just lays around with no help for hours on end. After many hours finally put in room. No one knew she was in the room - came to room 1 hr later and says "Oh we didn't know anyone was in here." No food all day - never checked on even after continuously ringing the call button so she could go to the rest room. Wa... read more

Dr. Michael Klitzke told my husband he didn't believe the accident happened the way it happened before the appointment had even started. I had photos he declined to look at. He made a point of telling us how important he was & that he was the ONLY one in Knoxville doing Neuro-Psych Evaluations. He is so unprofessional he asked who else was on the panel for the evaluations. He made a point to tell us that he had a conflict of interest as he was friends with workman's compensation adjusters. He proceeded to tell my husband he ... read more

As a former employee, I saw what goes on behind the scenes, and it's not pretty. Around the time that they opened their brand new sparkly Emergency Dept, Covid hit. And it was a massive cluster F!! They had the staff to handle the influx of patients, but were too cheap to pay the nurses, so the nurses, one by one, left to travel and make big money. Who can blame them!? But instead of increasing their nurses pay to try to get them to stay, they let them leave. They couldn't find any new nurses to hire so guess what they did!... read more

I spent 8 1/2 hours here just for them to tell my kid that she has pneumonia. Mean while having you wait for freaking ever in the waiting room. Then you finally do get a room you have to wait there forever also just to see the Dr. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone at all. Worst freaking experience ever with this hospital. I will never ever go back to that hospital.
