The reviews say all that needs to be said. RUNNNNNNN! Stay away from Paychex at all costs, you have officially been warned!!!! Paychex is completely incompetent. The situation gets even worse when there are consistent payroll errors that are beyond negligence. The payroll errors on a constant basis from their dysfunctional team making mistakes that are beyond negligence. What’s far more concerning is when the mistakes are brought to their attention they are not acknowledged and they adamantly refuse to resolve the issues.... read more

I ended services over 2 years ago with these guys due to lack of good customer support, rising fees and overall unhappy with their service for numerous reasons, including payroll delays and hidden surprise fees. They've asked me to respond in email to unsubscribe several times and continue to send harrassing calls despite promising I've been removed from their call list. Customer service is mediocre. They assign you a rep that never answers your messages. When you call, you're on hold for 20+ minutes. We had an EXCELLENT rep at the beginning (Chris Knight), but then we were passed up to someone new who has never answered any type of communication. Her supervisor (Farron Evans) was made aware, but nothing was done and he never contacted us either. Overall, communication and accountability are lacking. I just called and got hung up on after 24 minutes on hold.

I should be on their payroll given the fact that I am essentially an honorary employee of theirs at this point. They have called me maybe 4 times over the past 3 years to process payroll. I evidently have a "Payroll Representative" who is supposed to do this once every 2 weeks. Since that "representative" never calls me, I have to call them. At this rate, run. There appears to only be one individual at the company who cares to respond and that's Michelle Vian. It almost seems like while going through implementation they want to be responsive and then once you're onboarded and have questions they disappear. I've literally been asking them to help me pay my contractors for over a month with no assistance. If we have to keep paying them outside of paychex, what is the point of having paychex. It's actually a joke and I am definitely going to start looking elsewhere... read more
