DO NOT USE PAYCHEX Disappointing all around, payroll services are Terrible, I got rid of them once before but my accountant insisted I use them for easy parallel for his office. They were charging me over a year with even actually doing anything, they created a huge process of motorized paper work to end my service, then continued to charge me for two months after that, and said it was in between billing cycles, then a 3rd month after that which they said would be refunded never was. Stay away from Paychex at all cost. I switched my company to them because of how they presented themselves. However, after having them for one month, I quickly cancelled the contract and switched back to our previous vendor. Paychex falsely misrepresented their capabilities and fraudulently entered into a contractual agreement knowing full-well that they could not deliver upon their promises. I use them for my company payroll and got a call from them to sign up w their 401k program in order to meet the new MD mandate. Do not get swindled to use their 401k program. They charge around $150 a month and told me I’d get it all back as a Federal tax credit up to $5500 over the next 3 years which is simply not true at all. One only gets back $250 per person so if there are 2 people that’s $500 credit from the Fed. As a property management company owner in Queens who has been unfortunate enough to use Paychex since 2019, I feel compelled to warn other business owners about this absolute disaster of a payroll company. The most damaging issue is their completely unreliable accounting - I had to file an extension for my 2024 tax returns because their records don't match the actual amounts deducted from my company's bank account.
