I feel very bad writing a negative review because I don’t like to hurt anyone, especially as a business owner myself. I used Paychex to be in tax and state compliance, and they were suggested by another business owner. They charged us a lot of fees upfront that we were not expecting. They had us on a lot of stuff we didn’t use, and they were charging us. They were calling very frequently trying to upsell us. Even pressuring me to a program that cost $800 a month. Absolutely no help on the phone. I need to talk to a human being and they dont exist. I got locked out of my account and my employer wasnt availble to help me with that. I call and I keep getting redirected to go to the website. The web chat I was sitting there for over 40 min with no reply. I just want my W2 and to get into my account. Terrible service, never received W2 for myself as the business owner or for my employees. Attempted endless times to reach out to my "representative" to no resolve. The merged with iSolve which completely screwed up their customer service. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM PAYCHEX. There are much better user friendly services, Paylocity and ADP are light-years better. Truly the least helpful organization I have ever worked with. Don’t bother calling because you get nothing but corporate script and bounced around from person to person who “can help you”, their inability to properly store notes within their system on any changes is embarrassing, and the most simplest task or retrieving a simple document can take weeks if accomplished at all. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. I was trying to transfer my 401K out of my account since I started working for another company and it is a nightmare to deal with. The buttons on the website appear and disappear randomly. Takes forever to reach a rep to resolve this. Submitted a request and the second they asked me to call to confirm again. I’ve called three times today for a long time and NO ONE is picking up the call.
