It was late Sunday afternoon when my 3 year old soon started running a fever and he was already congested and said he couldn't taste his apple so I panicked and immediately thought its COVID. So we hop in the car PJS and all and pull up. We wait in the car till they call you and get some information, then the nurse came out to the car and talked my son through everything, did vitals and did the test for COVID, we got our results in 20 mins. Can you say EMTALA violation?! Nurse Kaitlyn here almost caused one by trying to turn me away for asking for basic medical care. Thank God for the fantastic doctor on this evening who took great care of me. Also thankful for the second nurse that came in to help. Just so odd to have one nurse come up to the front and be so confrontational with a sick patient. Hope someone gives her a long discussion on the repercussions of turning away a sick patient.
