We use our pool daily, and there is a lot of getting out and jumping back in (tracking stuff back into the pool), so we run him at least once a day (sometimes twice if he doesn't get the whole pool clean due to the size of our pool). I've been using and abusing this poor little robot for a long time, at least 2 summers, and I've been exceptionally lazy by letting this do most of the work. This has some benefits like the fact that it doesn't clog quickly by capturing the fine particles. So for large debris it's great since you can let it suck up for multiple cycles before having to clean it. Just be ready to untangle the cord because there is no solution for anti-tangling. My pool has 2 drains on the bottom (apx. 8. feet deep) and are a few inches above the pool surface. This robot loves the drains and often gets 'stuck' on them and will not move. 4.0 out of 5 stars Works well Bought the "like new" unit which was about $100 cheaper than the "new new". The box was banged up, but the cleaner seemed in very good shape. It runs around and cleans the pool. You cannot control it, like the models which cost well north of $1000. The cleaner tries to cover the whole pool but it does have favourite spots and others which it does not like to visit. Works well but definitely not perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars More basket room = cleans whole large pool in one swoop I had the smaller dolphin for my pool and always had to turn it on 2x to get the pool clean. This vacuum has a larger basket and suction flap so everything comes out of the pool in one power on run. It is heavier when pulling out of the water. I you can hold a 20lb weight you are good.
