Decent but not great Property is 20 years old but is beginning to show it's age (hallway & common area carpets). Units are nice, great location (Schroeder Rd is a bit noisy). Management is a struggle: 1) press you to sign (prorate rent), even if you don't need/want till 1st of month, then next year lease starts at beginning of month you signed (11 mon lease) 2) they try to be accommodating on parking, storage closet 3) they get very rigid on rules, even when no one else is affected (rules for rules sake) 4) Facility maintena... read more
A Beautiful, Affordable, Fun Place to Live!! I absolutely love living here at Prairie Park Senior! I moved in this past August and Marion was so very helpful in explaining all the paperwork involved. She and Glen are always very approachable and pleasant, any issues have been resolved quickly for me. The fact that it's so dog friendly is one of the things that definitely matters. My forever home Prairie Park Senior is just what I need. I moved here from out-of-state and into a sight-unseen apartment. The apartment manager was wonderful in helping me select the right apartment for me. The building is beautiful with touches of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and the grounds are professionally pleasing. The balconies are very large and they look like an additional room. The Obvious Choice I retired and relocated home to Madison, from Carmel Indiana in August 2020. The Property Manager here at Prairie Park made the application and screening process seamless and stress free. My apartment is beautiful, light and airy, with spacious rooms. The location is close to anything one might need. The security locked building, underground parking and elevators provide a sense of security and ease. Compared to many other area Senior apartments, the rent is reasonable.

Great place to live! I have been living at Prairie Park for Seniors for 3 months. I moved here from New Jersey and worked with the office manager prior to moving here to get all paperwork completed prior to my move. I love my apartment. It has good size rooms, secure building, close to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. Very happy to be living here!
Great Westside Location My husband and I moved here a year ago from Florida; we no longer wanted to own a home (too much work)and wanted to be close to family. We enjoy living here because the apartments and building are kept in good condition, the management is easy to contact and work with. The initial paperwork was easy to process and also the subsequent renewal process this year. The location is great we are near shopping and medical facilities. If you are a veteran we are very close to the VA hospital and clinics.
A complete THUMBS UP Planning to move from the north woods to Madison, I did all my search on line and found myself always going back to Prairie Park's site. Then my in person visit sold me on all the amenities here and liked the Frank Lloyd Wright touches. It was like picking a vacation destination that wasn't just a hotel room but a full suite and made P.P. like a little bit of heaven living here every day. I moved in in winter...then came the Pandemic....so looking forward to the social aspect in the future.
CAUTION!!! In April, 2025, after being a resident for three years, I received a lease renewal for a monthly increase of $360. All 93 units within the complex were increased proportionally based on whether the unit was a 1 bedroom or a 2 bedroom.
