I had an excellent experience with AllerVie when I brought my six-year-old daughter in for recurring hives. Naturally, I was concerned, but the doctor took the time to thoroughly evaluate her symptoms, answer our questions, and explain what was happening in a way that was reassuring and easy to understand. What I appreciated most was their honest and thoughtful approach. I had an appointment at 11 am last week on Wednesday. The doctor stated she would be prescribing me medications and she asked me which pharmacy I would like it sent to. I paid my copay at the end of the appointment. I never had the prescription sent over to the pharmacy that day which is unusual at least from my experience. Usually prescriptions are sent immediately after an appointment. I then called the next day and the person I spoke with stated she would leave a note with the doctor. Really helpful, easy, and quick care. I scheduled an appointment because I get seasonal pollen allergies every year. They were able to give me so medicine to help relieve my congestion and breathe easy again, and talk through a long term immunotherapy plan
Not a great experience so far. I was instructed to stop antihistamines for a week in preparation for my appointment, but the office canceled last minute due to weather—even though I was in the area and able to travel safely. I also never received the promised benefits/insurance call beforehand, and despite multiple text reminders to complete intake paperwork, there was no functional way to log in or access the forms. Receptionist was very welcoming and the rest of the of staff were very friendly. As a first time patient coming in and very nervous the tech explained everything very thoroughly and well explained.
