If I could give this storage unit 0 stars I would. We purchased a 10x30 controlled indoor storage unit as we had a number of not only expensive items, but sentimental things stored in our unit that we wanted to make sure were well taken care of. This is one of the most expensive units available. Upon moving out, we discovered our entire unit was literally covered in mouse droppings; every box, every piece of furniture, all over the floor. The virtual office assistant (pictured) experience is awful. Had to wait a while for the “office manager” to show up just to purchase the proprietary locks that they make you use on their units. Key code didn’t work for the gate that I was provided. Office manager, didn’t get his name because he never told me, was finally able to open the gate to let me in. All around an annoying experience to get setup with something that ought to be pretty simple and straight forward.
Not happy with Prime storage. I was charged $261 for a 10 ft x 20 ft storage locker for the month of July. I overpaid to start with $224 a month for a 10 ft by 20 ft storage locker. I rent several other 10 ft by 20 ft units in the area the cost me $175 a month. I was told that there was a 5-day grace period for the late fee. I came in on the 5th day and was charged an extra $41 for a late fee did I believe there was some duplicity involved there. Similar to other renters, we have found dead mice and rodent droppings all over our belongings. Please consider alternatives for your storage needs. This is an indoor climate controlled second floor unit, that shouldn’t be accessible to pests at all. We’ll now have to dispose of a majority of our belongings and furniture.
Find a better facility. Rates constantly going up. I had a 5x10 that went from $90 up to $140/ month. I checked their website and they had a 10x15 for $140 so I switched. 2 months later I get a notice they’re raising it to $190. I’ll be moving my stuff out. I’m sure by end of year they will raise their rates yet again. When you walk in, you might get to talk to someone on a tv monitor who isn’t at the physical location. Poor customer service.
