I had been renting with East View self storage since September of 2023. Would have given them 5 stars for sure. The space was always clean, carts available. Everything was just together and if you had a question you had great customer service phone or email. Things had been fine, my items were safe no issues. It was definitely new to Central Islip and managed fine. My items had been safe for the most part. Alyssa was my P.O.C for my storage visit & she was very knowledgeable and helpful to me. From the initial conversation to the last interaction she was awesome!!! I will definitely use this establishment for my future needs & highly recommend them to anyone in the area who needs a extra parking spot.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. They raise their rates every three months, and in less than a year, I went from paying $35 to $110 for a 5x5 unit—plus an extra $20 for "insurance" that also has been raised 2 times this year and it doesn't even cover the mold that their facility causes. When I tried to discuss the issue with management, I was met with indifference. If you’re going to charge customers so much, the least you can do is ensure their belongings are safe from mold! I've unfortunately rented out storage units for many years now; under several different companies/management corps. Fortunately, the latest experience with Prime Storage [Central Islip] location turned the once dreadful, unpleasant experience to a great pleasant one! Especially being helped and walked thru the process by whom I believe to be the manager named, Alyssa. She was awesome; 5 stars for her as well!!
Horrible rats flooding due to no dehumidifier for the summer months. Came back from out of town to water damages to my entire unit, rats had eaten my books n boxes n rats crap all on my couch. Hate it need an attorney. Check out pictures. No one informed me of the flooding and could never find Ed after I paid a year in advance. The employee was disrespectful and lied about me needing to move my belongings out before the end of my 2nd to last day before 4pm.
