I recently rented a unit at the Public Storage at 3500 FM 528 in Friendswood, TX, and it all went well for me. The property manager, Nick, who also has to spend time managing another Public Storage property, was still able to cordially show his available units to me and help me to get completely set up with a unit in that facility. ***DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!*** Our unit was infested with roaches and mice. Half of our belongings had to be thrown away. The manager is non-existent, he does not care about the renters or the facility itself. Every time I call I am sent to voicemail. Do not believe the positive reviews like I did, they are not current and the status of this facility is rapidly declining. Made an online reservation. Called one minute after location open. Not a staffed location. Manager at another location said, he'll be there between 12:30 and 1:30 for the rest of the afternoon. Made an appointment for 1:30. I arrive at 1:20. Waited 20 minutes. Called the number back he called me on went to voicemail. HE NO CALLED NO SHOWED. The only cars were renters moving out. Like this storage facility with secure indoor access to my storage unit. Good lighting around the access areas and ramps at night The facility manager, Nick, walks & cleans the hallways. Nick was very helpful with my sign up process and if he is at another facility if I call, he responds quickly. There is a large trash container outside, so no trash pile up inside. No bug or rodent droppings in hallways or my storage area.
I think being here a month will be enough for me. I paid $200 a week ago and I thought I was good to go because I rented the last week of the month , just for them to send me a notification I still owe 40 dollars. For what ? Another suprise was the elevator does not work! My storage unit on the third floor, I have to carry furniture up three flight of stairs!! This storage place is just bad business. Next time I need storage , I won’t be using this place.
