Dr. Ghanbari is a direct communicator, while still being a good listener. Obviously as is the case in all of healthcare, he’s only allotted 30 minutes per appointment, but I feel that he uses the time well. He takes patient input seriously and I feel “believed” as a patient when discussing prior experiences with treatment. As a female that’s really important to me and not always easy to find in a psychiatrist.
Contrary to other reviewers, I actually have had a very positive experience with Dr. Ghanbari. I initially came to him when I was changed providers when the previous nurse practitioner I was seeing went on leave. In retrospect, this was a blessing in disguise. I truly do feel that the taper schedule provided by her was too quick, and it sank me into another depressive and anxious episode. Dr. Ghanbari is thoughtful, takes his time with you and thorough. I have really appreciated having his guidance.
The worst psychiatrist I have ever met. Goes on and on about his own vision, in spite of your condition, this man is condescending, short and won't listen to what you need. He yelled at me about half way through our session and acted like he already told me something that never even came across. He is delusional at best. Do yourself a favor and find another, this man will ruin your life.
This is a delicate specialty - one which requires patience, empathy, and trust-building skills - this guy lacks all three. Providers like this are the reason people who build the courage up to seek help and hit a brick wall the first time don't try again and suffer for years. Hard pass.
Large ego with no real therapeutic skills. Appears to read off.a script. My anxiety and pamic disorder only increased before and after ever session. Seemed to be more interested in protecting his license than doing what's best for me
This guy left.me hanging for months without proper treatment. I almost committed suicide.
