We purchased a new home and 3 days after moving in found a gas leak. We called multiple plumbers around the area and got estimates for the fix. Of the three companies that were rated high, I have to say Reading was the most affordable. All companies need to make profit and this is understood. But I am disappointed in the Plumbing companies in Peoria, they quote high. Reading quoted us 12 hours worth of labor, 1 and a 1/2 days total. Reading & Son did an outstanding job! We had to have our water service line replaced, a big job. Where the opening was cut into our basement floor, Reading and Son patched the concrete expertly and smoothly. Not all plumbers take the care to restore the concrete well; they often use a rough concrete fill which doesn't match the floor. Highly recommend these fine people!
My family has been using Reading and Sons for decades and we have always been so happy with their help! Today Kiel came and helped us with our kitchen sink. He was professional, quick, on time, and incredibly kind. While he was fixing the issue he gave me really good tips on how to prevent the issue on the future. He was absolutely fantastic and helped us so much! I absolutely recommend!
Brad and team did a great job and were super friendly. Had my main water supply fixed up (hanging out of the wall crooked, crushed internally we later found out, and overall in bad shape), redid a water softener loop (rusted/oxidized/partly broken/unusable), a bypass, and installed a water pressure valve along with the water heater adjustment that goes along with it. Kiel from Reading & Son’s Plumbing was awesome! The day before, he and Collin unclogged my sink, but it backed up again overnight. Kiel came back ASAP the next day, super nice and easy to talk to, and really knew his stuff. He fixed it again, then stuck around to fill and drain the sink a bunch of times just to make sure it stayed clear. You can tell he actually cares about doing the job right. Very kind, relatable, and just a great person to have helping you out. All props to Kiel—highly recommend asking for him.
