We purchased a new home and 3 days after moving in found a gas leak. We called multiple plumbers around the area and got estimates for the fix. Of the three companies that were rated high, I have to say Reading was the most affordable. All companies need to make profit and this is understood. But I am disappointed in the Plumbing companies in Peoria, they quote high. Reading quoted us 12 hours worth of labor, 1 and a 1/2 days total. The technicians showed up on time and started work immediately after bringing in their tools. They were very knowledgeable and were quick to complete items on my contract. They cleaned up after the work was completed for the day, They were very careful to not damage any other areas in the home. They were pleasant to be around. I highly recommend them as their work ethic is the best I've seen lately.
Reading & Son did an outstanding job! We had to have our water service line replaced, a big job. Where the opening was cut into our basement floor, Reading and Son patched the concrete expertly and smoothly. Not all plumbers take the care to restore the concrete well; they often use a rough concrete fill which doesn't match the floor. Highly recommend these fine people!
This is the 3rd time I've used them since buying this house 6 years ago. I cannot say enough good about them. When they call to notify me when they are coming, they are so kind. The service persons are exceptional. They aren't trying to "scam" with unnecessary repairs. They are the only ones i will use. Great service!
Kiel from Reading & Son’s Plumbing was awesome! The day before, he and Collin unclogged my sink, but it backed up again overnight. Kiel came back ASAP the next day, super nice and easy to talk to, and really knew his stuff. He fixed it again, then stuck around to fill and drain the sink a bunch of times just to make sure it stayed clear. You can tell he actually cares about doing the job right. Very kind, relatable, and just a great person to have helping you out. All props to Kiel—highly recommend asking for him.
