I really appreciate the way Dr. Marchione explained everything to me. She was very kind, and understood my concerns. She identified problems and proposed solutions. Very trustworthy. Very competent. Very responsive.
I'm so happy to have found Gastro MD in Tampa. Dr. Marchioni is incredibly compassionate, helpful, and has amazing bedside manner. She makes me feel heard and seen, I never feel rushed, and feel like I'm in great hands and being cared for. I've had a colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and routine and follow up visits, and it's always been a great experience. Everything is explained well. I had a prior GI doctor but didn't get the type of care I was seeking and don't ever see myself looking for another GI Doctor.
She is the best doctor I have ever seen. Her knowledge and compassion is at the highest level. I travel 2 hours to see her but if necessary would drive 5 hours.
To be fair she did order the test that figured out I had pancreatic EPI. In saying that she absolutely missed the biggest part of my diagnosis that could have helped me avoid further organ damage. MCAS is what is being confirmed by another gastroenterologist. Very good bedside manner. Unfortunately the practice she works for is about the numbers not the people.
I came in for a new patient consultation. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I was made to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time. The doctor was extremely rushed and didn’t ask me if I had any questions for her. She did not seem interested to find out what I needed her help for. Seems her appointments are double booked due to her delays. After having any procedure, you cannot see the doctor- you are directed to see the nurse practitioner only. I would not recommend her to anyone.
My recent visit to Gastro MD was disappointing on several fronts. Initially, they scheduled me with someone named Emy, who turned out not to be a qualified medical doctor but only a Certified physician assistant —an oversight they failed to mention beforehand. If I could give this facility no stars I would. Absolutely ridiculous!! We were 15 minutes late because of 2 accidents when we live 1.5 hours away. I don’t care what kind of service you provide, but after sitting in your lobby for 90 min I decided to approach the desk. She then told me that because I was 2 minutes outside of their late policy I was going to have to wait another 2 hours to be seen. Are you joking??? What kind of business are you that I had to approach YOU and ask.
