I wish I could give Restoration 1 more stars! We were one of the many homes impacted by the recent heavy rains and ended up with standing water in our basement. We originally had another water mitigation company scheduled to come out, but they were a no-show with no communication. Restoration 1 was the only company I called where I was able to speak with a real person, which was incredibly reassuring when you're dealing with water in your home and don't know what to do next. When our basement flooded two months ago, Claire Smith and the team at Restoration1 in Grimes responded with incredible urgency and professionalism. They arrived quickly, assessed the damage, and immediately started the restoration process. Their communication, expertise, and compassion during a stressful situation were outstanding. I found a dripping faucet in my downstairs bathroom. It had been leaking for some time as the whole family room and bar area carpet was soaked. Pad and all. I had heard of Restoration 1 so did a quick GOOGLE search and it looked like they were a good place to contact. Couldn't have had better service. I recently had Claire come out for a water and mold inspection and couldn't be more impressed with her service. She was professional, took the time to explain the entire process, and thoroughly examined my home for mold and water damage. If I could give a negative review, I whole heartedly would. Their lack of protections for their employees working in asbestos and fiber glass is laughable at best, and sickening at worst. No PPE or training of anykind. OSHA violations at every turn. If they're cutting so many corners with their employees, can you imagine what corners are being cut in their overall quality of standards? Plenty of other reputable companies to use. Avoid this one.
