Had my Pre-Op appointment today with Dr. Babin and that was very pleasant, BUT the receptionist, (middle age blonde hair woman...don't know her name) was extremely rude, condescending and ill-prepared for the simple questions I had for her. She tried to make me feel I had no right in asking questions about my medical visit and became very obnoxious and combative in her demeanor. I had such a great experience working with Mohamed in the billing department at Dr. Riad & Associates. He went above and beyond to help resolve some issues we were having, followed up promptly, and made sure everything was completely taken care of. I used to really like Dr. Riad. I stayed with this office even though I moved to Orleans because he was so supportive. Anyway, he’s retired, the office has completely gone to hell. There is no way to talk to anyone on the phone, they have a circuitous and tiresome phone answering system that takes forever. They take a long time to respond to messages. Took over 35 minutes to check in, all due to inability of staff not knowing how to correctly “bill for services”. I have been with Dr Riad since his practice began. The appointment was set to be billed and yet my time standing while someone is learning to bill/check me in. I offered credit card as guarantee to pay so I could be seen on time. This is intolerable way to be treated. Retrospect, should have gone through VA for the surgery & prior pre exams.
