The Bad: -I made a reservation 6 MONTHS in advance for a month long stay for a work trip. -I asked for a specific lot in the back along the tree line knowing I would be working night shift and I was told it wouldn't be a problem at all. When I showed up they "had electric problems and had to move everyone around." So, they placed me right up front in a corner in a very small spot that had the front of my 5th wheel 6 feet off the ground to try to get level. (Site 14). This campground is located in a very quiet and serene area. It appears that many of the campers are permanent residence and work in the surrounding area. This adds to how quiet the campground is. Although it is a little off the beaten path, Sandra‘s smile and superior customer service make the extra miles well worth it. We stay here every time we drive out towards Arizona and Utah and Texas. Called when we were 20 minutes out, Sondra answered immediately and was great about getting us a site and checked in. She was right there when we pulled in to give us directions. So easy and quick! Very personable lady! Comments about “gulley “ are misleading. Yes there’s a hill immediately when you pull in but take it slow and there are no issues. The staff went above and beyond to acomodate me. I gave them 5 stars because there is not 10 stars rating. The personnel here is super friendly, and very customer service oriented. The facilities and amenities are very well kept and strategically located throughout the park.
Rivertown Rose Campground is a wonderful place to stay. We wish we were not just passing through. We would have stayed longer. The laundry facility was helpful as we made our way home from a long trip. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and all in a friendly manner. We look forward to coming back here to take in the sights and activities of Vicksburg!
