Dr. Mitchell has seen myself and my son for injuries, and has operated on my daughter. Two thumbs up, five stars, highly recommend.

My boyfriend broke his hand, His official Diagnosis at OSF St Elizabeth ER was Closed Displaced fracture of neck of fifth metacarpal bone of right hand. He was referred to Debra Lynn Pyszka, PAC, at first, they couldn't get him in and said he had to call down to Peoria or a couple of other places. But we don't have a car or funds to get to those other places, so the office called back the next day and said that they could fit him in for an appointment for today at 11:30 . I have end stage osteoarthritis and in desperate need of a new hip. He couldn’t face me himself to tell me my BMI was too high for him to do the surgery, nor did he or his staff inform me BEFORE the appointment that he wouldn’t see me. Instead he sent in a nurse to tell me. I will never recommend him to anyone. I will be going to Dr. Perona. I suggest everyone else do the same. He is practicing through Morris Hospital now.
I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Mitchell. In the past 90 days, i have seen him for a grand total of 10 minutes. that was the day i came in for a surgical consult. i was told i needed emergency surgery the next day. that was the one and only time. Since then, all i have ever seen was his PA, of whom I am even more disappointed in. I have had nothing but pain and intense swelling for 90 days now.
