Our trash man, Johnathan Ousley, is the best. He is always friendly and courteous, and he doesn’t leave a mess behind. He always takes the time to close back the gate on my trash receptacle, and if others cover his route, they usually leave it open. It’s the little things that makes a great employee!
Was told I could have tanning bed bulbs picked up as a $25 charge for a large item. But I would have to remove the 24 bulbs from the box I had them in and place two bulbs a week curbside for pickup. That would mean to dispose of these 24 used bulbs it would take me 3 months and cost me $300. I only paid $317 for new bulbs. Your staff should have been able to tell me that I could do exactly what I did. It would have been a 5 star but we can now no longer take extra trash to the station unless we pay from $30 - $60 a truck load EXTRA. Even though I pay a trash bill every month. This is completely wrong and is ONLY going to cause illegal dumping again.
The service from Rumpke is very spotty. There were several times in the past that they did not pick up our garbage, and we had to call them to send someone out. However, the worst of it has been recently. Due to flooding in our area and other weather related issues, they did not make an effort to pick up our garbage for almost two months, and yet we still had to pay! If there were any other options in this area, we’d switch.
Reported our container broken by truck driver on 2/20/25. Was told to leave container at curb for 5-10 business days to be replaced. Today is 3/03/25, and I've called twice and emailed a detailed complaint. Response was that new container was dropped off 2/24/25. WE HAVE NOT REC'D A NEW CONTAINER YET, AND BROKEN CONTAINER IS STILL AT THE CURB. Very poor service for what we pay.
