Please please please someone bring us a non-Rumke option! Rumpke uses contractors evidently, to pick up our garbage. We had a house fire melt several of our garbage cans and head to buy new ones. They were supposed to pick up the old ones but every week no matter how many times I call, they leave the milk ones out there. A couple of weeks ago we watched them drop our neighbor's garbage out of the back of the truck and leave it laying in front of our yard. Update: Rumpke came out and made it right. Can was fixed and service has been a lot better. Changing review to 5 stars Rumpke bought out Wellman Trash Services recently. Today was my first pickup. They ran up over the curb tearing up the grass. They dented the can so now it won’t stand up correctly. Called customer service, was sent to another department where I remained on hold for 20 mins only to be told nobody was available and to leave a message. For the past month now Rumpke has missed my trash 3 separate times. I have a shared driveway and my neighbors trash (that sits INCHES beside mine) gets taken and mine gets left. I’ve called repeatedly for them to come back & get my trash. The last time this happened (Thursday) I called first thing in the morning & was told they would return to get it. It’s now Monday & no one has come to collect. I called again first thing this morning & was told that someone would come by TODAY to get it. But once again, it’s sitting there... read more

We have been customers for 20 years. We have known different drivers over the years, they work hard. We always leave a gift card over tge holidays. I contacted the manager recently because our pick up was being missed about every 3rd week. Her way of handling that was if wanted to continue service we could no longer bring our garbage can to the end of our driveway for pick up but needed to bring it to the end of our road, 2 miles away. I left rumpke a year ago because they missed me 5 weeks in a row. Sadly the people who I used after (never missed one trash pick up) had to retire and sold to rumpke. Week 2 of them taking over and they've missed me and my neighbor again. I called and left a message, did not hear back. Called again talked to someone and she said she'd let me know if it was my fault that they missed me (and my neighbor).
