Our counselor has been fantastic in reminding us of the Gospel and Biblical truths about God's character, His sovereignty, His unconditional love, His purposes. This has been so helpful in keeping our eyes on God and not on circumstances. He has also used his experiences to illustrate that we are not alone in what we are going through and our circumstances are not unique. He doesn't get surprised by anything, which brings the emotions down. He also freely gives grace and is very encouraging.
