Had an Aortic heart valve replacement 13 years ago. Annual echocardiogram and consult visit with the cardiologist and or PA, until 4 years ago when my cardiologist retired. Default transfer to another cardiologist for ongoing care but have NEVER met the person, have only seen a PA. Last two years, cardiologist has cancelled our meeting at the "eleventh hour", even though I am in the 13th year of the tissue valve replacement. Had my first visit in July, set up a stress test appt and return doctors appointment that very same day, and I waited for this appointment 1.5 mth. During my time I was called a month ago and they canceled my doctor's appointment and I was scheduled out another month for October. Today I had to deal with a nuclear assistant who had less than stellar bedmanners, argued where to out the needle as I advised by prior knowledge where it should go to avoid breaking the vein. Dr. Seethala one of the best Cardiology doctors. When my heart stopped Dr Seethala pushed my heart back into life. Dr. Seethala is person blessed from the God. The second Docktor’s name I not remember but everything that is the Dr Seethala tok to me is finely tru. This second Docktor makes me prossidgure and installed 5 stamped. Do not believe it when you read or hear that this medical facility puts patient care first. You do have a choice for high quality care. My husband has been a patient of St. Al's Heart Institute since 2019 when he experienced A-Fib in recovery after back surgery. His initial physician was Dr. Columbawala who was awesome. At the time, we were living 250 miles from Boise, and Dr. C went above and beyond to communicate with him. He performed 2 heart ablations and inserted a loop recorder to monitor my husband's heart. The heart institute in Boise is inept in the scheduling dept I filled out all the paperwork necessary for my appt online days prior to my appt. My GPS got me going in circles in the parking lot I was 10 minutes late in my arrival time which was 8:30 for a 9 AM appt. The scheduler said the DR wouldnt see me. No one at any time stated arrival time was a "deal breaker to see a Dr" at this clinic. I called the clinic at least 2 times prior to my appt.that I had waited 3 months to be seen already.
