My family recently experienced one of the most difficult moments of our lives when my brother was admitted to the ICU at St. Alphonsus in Nampa after a drug overdose. Although he ultimately passed away, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible team who cared for him and supported our family during that time. First off, the nursing staff should be applauded for their excellent care. I went to the emergency room to get care for extreme stomach flu. The attending Dr. Decided to put in report I was seen for heart condition even though I was never treated for that. I V liquids and nausea medication with pain meds because my stomach, back, shoulders, arms, neck and head pain from the flu and throwing up for 2 1/2 days. Really disappointed in the ER . I was having trouble breathing this last weekend and thought I was having an allergic reaction. I couldn't breath at all through my nose and was scared I would have an asthma attack. They seemed not to really care as long as my oxygen was wnl. However I had a temp and other stuff going on. To start off, the parking lot is large, spacious and well designed. The building is beautifully designed. When you walk in to the emergency area, the emergency receptionist is barely friendly, but that’s ok because once you convince her to let you in through those double doors… it’s a different world.
