We live in between plymouth and winimac, and we MUCH prefer St J over any other hospital in the area. We have seen Dr. Dejong in the ER a few times and have been extremely happy with his care. He's kind, wants to hear from you. Doesn't see you for five seconds and send you packing. He listens to your concerns and addresses them. In the last 4 years, I have been to the ER and both of my kids and each time I leave feeling confident in his dx and with his care plan. ER staff is not that friendly. The only reason I go to this location is the Outpatient Lab. Spencer makes the experience of drawing blood work enjoyable. I dread getting blood work done because I have to get it done so much. Spencer has a great conversation with you and before you know it the draw is over. He really takes time getting to know his clients. Thankful that lab has him there. He is a true Rockstar and needs to be recognized.
My 66 year old brother was found on his kitchen floor unresponsive. He was brought by EMS to this hospital and was in the emergency room being worked on when I got there. My niece and her husband showed up. And we sat in the waiting room talking and waiting for someone from the back to come out and let us know how our relative was doing. Updating this review from a couple years ago was a one star before and I'm wanting to update a refresher from my experience yesterday. Last Thursday I took my son to the hospital not this one because they got a 2 star review and I have had terrible experiences before. My son is special needs I don't got the time to play stupid. Any ways they got him straightened out right away with anti biotics and steroid. The Plymouth emergency room is awful. Nurse practitioner Amy Fish is part of the problem. She didn't treat me as a patient. She lied in her notes. About things she did , when she didn't do then. Lied about giving me a exam. Drug screened me yet wrote in her notes I was " oriented and aware. " Along with " my behavior and mood was normal ". I was there for my severe vertigo. Which I was there previously for that. They know the symptoms from it and I've been diagnosed with it. She was way out of line. I don't recommend her ... read more
