Love this company! They have fixed several stone pieces for me over the years and you cannot tell they were ever broken. They are very skilled stone masons and artisans. The customer service is exceptional. I highly recommend SB Stone for all your stone needs.
SB Stone is easy to find close to the hub of downtown supplies district for builders, gardening and remodeling necessities near the freeway 101, at the Milpas exit, easiest access point to Nopal and Lawrence street where their Stone quarry distribution center is located. We always enjoy our experiences at Santa Barbara Stone. We enjoy friendly helpful people and that is what we encounter each trip there. It is an easy process. You choose what rocks or type gravel you want and get the name - which is on a tag connected to the bins. Then, take it to one of the employees. They weigh the amount you need and you pay the guy in the little building. You can also go in and ask questions as the people in their are most helpful and dogs are welcomed! Emmanuel was very helpful. I visited twice to research concrete pavers for a home landscape project. He was friendly, stayed late, provide materials to take home and review, and in general was very easy to talk to about logistics. Friendly all around and highly recommend! Knowledgeable and solid options to pick from.
What happened guys? I used to buy here because of good customer service and accurate sales, but no longer. After recent screw-ups involving the wrong materials being delivered to a job-site, inconsistent quantities of bulk material showing up depending on the delivery method (hoppers vs. dump truck), and being sworn at (!) by a sales rep who decided to argue with me over whether they were loading the correct quantity of gravel instead of just re-scooping the material, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
