Nick, the banker here at Seacoast, just opened an account for me here and I couldn't be happier. Free checking and the customer service is great. Also, an awesome rate on their money market! 6x higher than what Suntrust was giving me. Plus they are local and it's important to support local businesses, rather than have your money go out of the community to say, Atlanta or somewhere. I've had accounts with this bank for 20 years now and can say they are going downhill these days. Up till about 10 years ago it was the best bank around. They are still ok for basic checking but their other services are horrible especially their loan department. Unfortunately they have turned into another non personal "give us your money and get out" I am currently looking for another bank and would suggest anyone else to as well.
