Back in August, I received a notice stating that the string lights on my balcony needed to be taken down because the strings were white… otherwise, I’d be fined $50 for the office to remove them. When I called to ask where this policy came from, I was told it was in the lease agreement. I asked for a copy of my lease and read through it multiple times… nowhere does it mention anything about the color of strings on the lights. My experience living in this community started out positive, but after about a year, it became increasingly troubling and, ultimately, unsafe. Security Concerns: I experienced several incidents that made me feel violated and unprotected. Items were stolen from my apartment, and I strongly suspect someone with authorized access may have entered while I was away. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!! My life here is a LIVING HELL!! I live in a middle unit and the people above are incredibly loud. It’s a guy and a girl and girl stomps everywhere she walks. Often times their headboard is heard banging against the wall. They vacuum for like an hour straight and they literally dont care about anyone around them it seems. I lived at Seattle House from September 2022-2024. I can confirm that the electric bill is through the roof, specifically in the winter. The major issue of living here though was MULTIPLE cockroach infestations in my apartment and Seattle House did the absolute bare minimum legally that they were required to. I had NEVER had cockroaches at any previous rental property I lived at so this was not a result of my living conditions. Your home away from home! Seattle House Apartments are very clean and the open space is incredible, especially for pets! I have lived here for almost 2 years and have loved most everything about it. The swimming pool and firepit area, as well as the on-premise dog park and also the Delaware City dog park across the street are just great bonuses to the property! The party house, which can be rented economically is great for gatherings! You won’t be disappointed moving here!!
