I had a very disappointing experience with this bank. The level of unprofessionalism and poor attitude from staff was unacceptable. Directions and guidance for supporting members were unclear, inconsistent, and confusing, which made resolving even simple issues unnecessarily difficult. Instead of feeling supported, I felt dismissed and frustrated. This bank seriously needs to be looked into, and management should be reviewed to address the lack of professionalism, communication, and proper customer support.

Horrible experience and poor customer service at this bank!!!!! I am very disappointed in the staff at this location. They do not handle accounts with care, respect, and professionalism. The staff are very dismissive and insensitive. They have closed my account due to a mistake on their end with no real explanation or resolution. They are also reporting that I owe them money through Chex Systems, a system that all bank institutions use when I do not owe anything. Worst bank known to man. Never open an account here, never do business with these people. Horrible technology as well. It's possible to be told one thing on the phone and another when you go into a branch. Save yourself the headache.

I'm quite disappointed in SECU. I've had them since 2009. They turned me down for a car loan multiple times even though my credit is good, and I've been a loyal customer for 15 years. In addition, you used to be able to go to the SECU office to speak with a bank representative via a telephone and virtual screen (no in-person reps); however, the location in Silver Spring, MD has changed this and there are no representatives to speak to at the branch if you decide to go in. Please DO NOT bank with this establishment!!! This bank will give you false information to get your money, then practice shady business practice behind your back to drain money from your account. Secu will go into your account and charge a $30 fee and hide it behind a "mysterious charge" and if you don't catch it and call, they will keep doing it. Even after calling they have done it to me.
