I received a text that my card had been charged. I called the bank to verify and it was true. Since the rep told me it would take 7-10 days before I get a new card, I asked her if that particular credit union was open so that I can go inside and get a card immediately, and she said they close at 1:00pm. Corporate, why are you not present at this branch? All of these negative reviews are not for nothing. Customer service here is bad. Specifically by the African lady and mixed female worker. The Spanish lady was helpful. This experience made me not want to bank with you. If I ever have another experience like this again, I will shut down my account. Not that you care. But at least I do. Staff here need to be re-trained in customer service. Corporate, you rather lose customers entirely, versus staff?
Horrible experience and poor customer service at this bank!!!!! I am very disappointed in the staff at this location. They do not handle accounts with care, respect, and professionalism. The staff are very dismissive and insensitive. They have closed my account due to a mistake on their end with no real explanation or resolution. I had a very disappointing experience with this bank. The level of unprofessionalism and poor attitude from staff was unacceptable. Directions and guidance for supporting members were unclear, inconsistent, and confusing, which made resolving even simple issues unnecessarily difficult. Instead of feeling supported, I felt dismissed and frustrated. This bank seriously needs to be looked into, and management should be reviewed to address the lack of professionalism, communication, and proper customer support.
I'm quite disappointed in SECU. I've had them since 2009. They turned me down for a car loan multiple times even though my credit is good, and I've been a loyal customer for 15 years. In addition, you used to be able to go to the SECU office to speak with a bank representative via a telephone and virtual screen (no in-person reps); however, the location in Silver Spring, MD has changed this and there are no representatives to speak to at the branch if you decide to go in.
