This place was cool at first, never had any issues. Then some lying jerk took over as manger! Had our contract terminated without cause. Then lied and said my husband was at our unit past 10 pm...lies! That happened once months ago and the previous manager was aware of it. The car wouldn't crank so what the hell was he supposed to do? Sleep out there. He fixed the problem and left. They are going to start loosing more customers as long as he's there. Glad we're at a better place now!

I know theft is a risk when renting but I'd only had my unit for a month and a few days. Oct 28, 2024, I found my storage unit at SecurCare Self storage on S. College Rd. (Wilmington, NC) was burglarized. I lost thousands of dollars worth of items. Thief/thieves nearly completely cleaned my unit. I was devastated. I see from another review that this ongoing problem with the ecommerce site for paying rent being down all the time goes all the way back to 2017. It is not the store managers' fault, it's the clowns out in Colorado who are the problem. I spent a couple hours outlining and explaining to the COO everything wrong with the ecommerce service that they use and was assured it would be fixed but she lied to me. IMO I think it is a scam to increase gross revenues by running-up late fees and charging to pay by phone.
The website to pay your rent never works. And in general the whole renting experience hasn't been pleasant.
After talking to a wonderful woman on the phone from a remote office to help me find a storage unit mind you this is all because of a get a one month free coupon but they offer on the website and on yelpat first she said the 5 x 10 and the 15 by time we're not acceptable with the coupon because they have less than five left which I can understand but then when I asked about a different size that was larger and they have more units she said that she probably wasn't going to be able to get me one at a discount because he just ... read more
