This was the first time I purchased a storage unit in my own and the two lovely ladies in the office couldn't have made my selection any easier. They offered amazing prices with the deal of first months rent free! One of the cutest storage unit facilities I've seen! Excellent review to them!!
I am very disappointed in this facility!! They have tons of cameras and supposedly an onsite manager but my unit had stuff stolen from it and no one contacted me!! I was going crazy trying to find out what happened, no one could give me a straight answer and management wouldn't return my calls. I filed a police report as well as a claim through their insurance company but it got denied! Don't store your things here!!
I'm still waiting for my refund. I believe they keep blowing you off until you give up calling them for it.
Last year we had two storage units with this place. One of them was burglarized. The lady who was acting manager was not very co-operative. She told us that we shouldn't contact the Sheriff's office but we did anyway. She called us because there was no lock on our unit. When I asked her if anything was in it, she answered me right away by saying a few things, legally they are not allowed to open the unit if it is rented. We also always want to keep our tenants in the loop. While your unit was not broken into, we wanted to make you aware that there was a paper clip in it. This is for the storage place on Oswell St/Ave.Bakersfield, CA. Sadly, many of my valuable items have been ruined by rain water (this can easily turn into mold), including a $1,800 memory foam mattress. It's crazy that I pay $156 a month to have my items "secured " only for them to have gotten damaged. This is only 1 of my ruined items. All because the door to my storage is faulty and rain water leaked completely through the bottom and soaked my belongings. New owners came on. Raised my lease $7.00. Decided to check rates against what I pay. Spaces I pay $66.00 go for $36.00! Then repeated break-Ins started. 3rd time since August. This time thief stayed until he found my valuable papers and my car titles trashed everything else. Unable to contact corporate offices about zero security. Regional management totally useless. Does not return my calls!
