I’ve had a disappointing experience with Shurgard UK. While the facility is marketed as secure, I observed behaviour on multiple visits that made me question how strictly access and usage rules are enforced, which raised concerns about proper monitoring of the site. I'd have liked to leave a 5 stars review, but this storage place has too many problems. First, the cost is going through the roof. I've rented for 3 years and the price has increased by 35% in that period, despite none of the issues being fixed. Second, there is a huge mice problem in the building, with mice dropping visible even outside storage units. I wish it was possible to give this awful place minus zero starts, or something. They literally brought me to tears with their constant bait and switch and swindle, insistence that I - a grandmother - was just too dumb for their genius ways to doing things, and absoluteky everything they say and do being untrue. Firstly, you are told while renting you can use your padlock, but that is a lie. they have their own rodiculous locks they sell you that are tiny and flimsy and you cant buy them anywhere.
