I’ve been in several veterinary hospitals before. When I walked through the door, they were very kind and they love animals. And they went but a few minutes then I went back and I met the nurse and I’m at the doctor and she explained it and she took her time. She went in a rush to get back out the door like physicians are. She explained everything so well I will never go anywhere else but there.
Today I had to euthanize my best friend of 16 years. My Lola, she went everywhere with me. I have to tell you about my experience. I walked into Skeet Club veterinary Hospital, which she was last seen about a month ago. It was 4:30pm and I didn’t have an appointment. We own a Standard poodle who is very dear to us. He became very ill recently and was treated at the vet school in Raleigh. We found out that he will need close monitoring for life. We asked a trusted neighbor who is a doctor, what veterinary clinic she recommended and she highly recommended Skeet Club Veterinary. We’ve been very pleased with Skeet Club. We loved Dr Goho and are sad to see him retire but for purely selfish reasons. In our opinion, Dr Whitaker is a perfect vet. She is very knowledgeable but she respects your opinion and believes you know your dog best. She comes into the room and sits on the floor and talks to your dog which I find totally endearing. She discusses treatment options with you and comes up with a plan. So respectful. We’ve her and so do our dogs.
I transferred here numerous years ago from another local vet in town. I have found both the staff and all the vets at Skeet Club Vet Hospital to be professional, caring, and helpful. I have great multiple incidents with my cats were I needed immediate help or answers and they were always kind and helpful. Additionally for our regular visits, they are great at sticking to schedule and normally not running behind.
