This place has been amazing since July 14th,2016. I graduate Wed. the 14th. Then to Cordele and then SSI (ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA)
Fantastic program, but you must be ready and willing to work hard to get better. Everything about them is nearly flawless, just have trust them, and that comes in good time. Be open minded, be ready to accept help, but most of all be ready to be vulnerable. You will make life long friends here, garunteed.
Because of Skyland Trails I found the natural artist within. Thanks to The Art Therapy Departmant and the quick assessments of the counsellors I found my love of the Arts. I am currently the local Artist on the Artist Spotlight on the Conyers Rockdale Counsel for the Arts website. Thank you Skyland Trails. Presently living in Conyers, GA local artist and Registered Nurse Shannon Perkins was born in New Haven, CT. Shannon was introduced to her love of art through the Art Therapy department within Skyland Trails Day Treatment ... read more
I was at Skyland from September up until this past February. While there I had a lot of ups and downs. I wish that I was more focused on my treatment while during my time there. But I look back now and I really appreciate Skyland Trail for all it has done for me. The staff had my best interest at heart. They supported me through the tough times; teaching me how to cope with my feelings and communicate with others in a healthier way. I have taken the skills that I learned and have applied them to my life. Though I didn't show... read more
By far the most helpful treatment center I have ever been to I met so many amazing people and learned helpful skills.
I want to express how truly grateful I am to Skyland Trail and their treatment team. This organization is truly professional, compassionate, and a team. From the initial contact to my discharge I felt I was in their care, had their attention and was given the best treatment available. Everyone from the cafeteria staff(contacted with Skyland Trail), residential staff, group therapists, primary therapist and psychiatrist doctors were attentive to me(as well as the other clients). I was comforted by this comprehensive team and ... read more
Was there from April 14, 2015 to today June 3, 2015. The staff is awesome and you can tell that almost all of them genuinely love you. I would recommend Skyland Trail to anyone because they are just awesome and I feel like I'm a completely different person. Especially since I learned a lot about skills-how and when to use them as well as which ones to use at certain times.
I was here in 2008 and I loved it. I learned so much from groups and enjoyed relating to other clients. My counselor was Marzena Holly. She has since passed away but she helped change my life. I am forever grateful to this place and Marzena.
