Went in for a tire repair due to a nail in the tire. The tire is mounted to a Ford factory rim that I had powdercoated. Asked if the could be gentle on the rim and received the response that the tire shop is not responsible for scratches on the rim. Attached are photos of the damage. First is a pic of how it is supposed to look and all the rest are after the repair. Rim suffered scratches, gouges and damaged lugnuts. You be the judge.
Editing review. Original included for info. I had one of my new lug nuts destroyed by them. 2 stars for the valve stem, 1 star for the service. Original review, "5 stars for the new valve stem. No problems there. It's only a 30 minute job, at worst, and I spent over 1.5 hours there. I can live with the fact that no one drove a manual. It's a dying art. My wife and I were enroute to San Diego when our left front tire started leaking. Southern Tire in Pecos, TX stayed open late on a Saturday to help us and had our tire fixed in 20 minutes. What a great customer experience! Many thanks.
Absolutely great spot for getting tires. Had a trailer blow a tire on a XC trip, and they were able to quickly get me back on the road and moving! Additionally, they like puppy dogs and we were able to keep our dogs inside (though we didn't) if we needed too.
Best place in town for tire repair service even for passenger vehicles. Klint the manager went above and beyond to help us get back on the road Klint took the time to give us a ride to the hotel across the street in his personal vehicle. Klint and his co manager stayed after hours to help us get our tire installed so we could get home after hitting a pot hole on I 20. I highly recommend Southern Tires in Pecos. Thank you to the entire team for excellent customer service. I highly recommend Southern Tires.
