This company can't get the basic stuff done right. We recently bought a home in Austin area and Stewart title was our title company. Issue 1: At closing, they provided incorrect bank information to our home insurance company which lead to my insurance company sending me letter that my insurance will be dropped soon. I got it sorted myself. Issue 2: Misspelled owner name on the information provided to county. Need to fix that too.
Well I have sold many houses and the Stewart Title is so bad at what they do.....lack of communication .....as it took so long to close because of their not knowing what they are doing. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I called the head office and never responded.
OMG nobody likes you! Our transaction with Karen Batiste here in Tucson has been a total disaster! I see that am not alone as most of the post here say the same thing.
This title company as they like to call themselves has to be the worst title company to have to deal with ever. If you are buying or selling your house do yourself a favor and find out who the title company is going to be and if it is Stewart title run the other direction. Sold a house and Stewart title was the closing title company and closed on the house Friday morning, And it's now Monday afternoon and I still have no money in my bank account.
