When this facility was Roll-Up Storage, it was phenomenal. The previous owners were attentive, always had someone on-site, and maintained the property well. Unfortunately, things declined drastically after Storage Sense took over. The air conditioning was off for weeks during the summer, and despite multiple calls and promises of a callback, no one ever followed up. Very disappointing experience.

BUYER BEWARE! I rented a unit that was $89 a month. My itemized lease clearly stated this amount and listed a “Technology Fee” at $0.00. When I got my first invoice they billed me an addional $6.95 per month and every month thereafter for the aforementioned Technology Fee. I tried disputing it but finally gave up after getting nowhere with their customer support. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! A RIP-OFF!! Make sure IF you rent there and want to move out, make it for the END OF THE MONTH because they will charge you an entire month - even if you leave early! I was a General Manager of Self Storage in FL and we ALWAYS PRORATE when a customer gives notice. I gave a 4-week notice and they refused to prorate! PATHETIC!!! I have been a loyal customer of Storage Sense in Surf City for over 8 years and my experience has taken a disappointing turn. When I first signed up, the prices were reasonable, starting at just $62 per month. However, over the years, I have witnessed a staggering increase in my storage fees, which have now skyrocketed to over $220 per month. for a 10 x 10 storage unit. When this facility was Roll-Up Storage, I rated it 5 stars. Since the takeover by Storage Sense, however, my experience has dropped to a 0. Communication about the transition was poor, and ongoing communication has been even worse. The local phone number no longer works, and being directed to text a random number for assistance is not helpful when I need to speak with someone directly.
