Had an appointment for opening and there was already a few people there waiting I signed in and was greeted by my nurse and taken to the examination room in 5 minutes nice! Everyone was super nice and my nurse that prepped me for Dr Hannah who was also super nice and professional! Will be returning in a week with Dr Hannah for a follow up to determine a coarse of action with my skin issue, but all n all I feel real comfortable with Suncoast and all their staff nice place for anything skin related Thank You all.
One star, for the polite office staff 5 stars. To set everything up in spanish for my daughter's mom's comfort as English is a second language, everything text and registration came through in spanish text, yet when the dr arrived she spoke from several feet away never touching the pt for a proper assessment, never utilizing a translator or verifying moms proper understanding (i am an RN and used to run pcp office) and then after an entire 10 min visit proceeds to charge us 120 dollars for the visit. We absolutely love Dr. Kwong and her front office staff! Dr. Kwong has treated 3 of our 4 kids over the past 10 years. She is very knowledgeable and actually talks with the patient and parents, not just the parents. Her front office staff is soon friendly and knowledgeable.
Our first appointment with this office. Front desk (Timeca?) was very friendly and we shared a few laughs, not sure why anyone would say otherwise. Dr. Kwong was great. Definitely knows her stuff and even clarified and explained why and what was causing my daughter's skin issues. We were in and out with a clear plan of action quickly. One of the only games in town for ped derm. Thankfully Dr Kwong is very competent, direct in her communication, and efficient. Lots and lots of administrative rough edges though. The office staff seem like good enough people and are trying their best, but it seems they systematically have the odds stacked against them. Example / Pro tip: as a patient, you should simply assume the central Call Center folks (that’s where most phone calls go first for scheduling at least) are unreliable and aren’t good at their jobs.
