This group bought McDonnell Dermatology about 2 years ago-- and Dr McDonnell ran a very efficient office-- on time, all the time. Today a Dr or 2 were out and they had substitutes in. I had to wait about 8 minutes to check in- about 15 minutes before I was called in to the exam room. I really don't think it's worth mentioning, but I am, only because I visit this office ONCE a year for a check -up, fortunately. And this is the first time I had to wait more than 5 minutes. My experience was not good. The procedure was over an hour late getting started. Office personnel and Doctor. indicated he started late due to a personal issue. Could have called patients but did not. Proceedure went well. I voiced concern because l had another PM appointment with Dr in Port Charlotte. Dr assistant was good and kept him on track. Suncoast Skin Solutions us absolutely outstanding. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Spencer in Sarasota and Dr. Jennings in Punta Gorda. Both are excellent doctors who went above and beyond to assist with a medical emergency which was complicated by a pending flight abroad. They got me into surgery the same day so I wouldn't miss my flight. I'm extremely grateful for the exceptional care.

I had a bad experience with a former PA at Sun Coast Dermatology and was getting my records to switch to another practice. I agreed to give them another try when I learned she was not there any longer. I had an appointment with Dr. Jennings that went very well. He listened to my concerns. Dr Jennings and the nurse were both kind, professional and thorough. I’m going to stay with the practice. I would hope that they will hire additional help for the front desk. ngl i was worried about cost / time. i went in for a consult and walked out with my issue solved for probably 80% less than i thought i was going to pay. dr jennings was cool and professional. would recommend. they were packed tho, PACKED, so expect to wait maybe a little after your scheduled appointment to see them (peak season in florida for what it’s worth)
